Have you lost your awe? When something is new we tend to treat it with an awe or a certain amount of respect. When it gets older it gets tossed by the wayside. Like a person with a new car waxing it and keeping it glowing. Then it loses its new car smell and gets some dings, we treat it with a little more casual attitude. The problem is when we began to do this with the holy things of God. In 2 Kings 5:20-27 we see Gehazi, Elisha's servant, has gotten so used to being around miracle after miracle and seeing God's power in action he begins to lose his awe of it. He thinks it is time to start taking money in exchange for God's, not his but God's miracle for Captain Naaman. Have you lost your awe for the things of God?
