The Preston's have been in Pastoral Ministry since 1980. This included pastoral work in churches in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. They have two daughters and 5 grandchildren. They came to Hancock Assembly of God on January 4, 2007, after ministering for 16 ½ years at a church in West Virginia.
A word from Pastor Preston
I want to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting our church website. It is with a grateful heart that my wife and I have been called to serve this wonderful congregation here in Hancock, Maryland. We celebrate the rich history of their past as well as the possibilities of today and the wonderful potential of our future. You will find the people here to be very warm, friendly and fully committed to providing ministry to the entire family. Please check out the different ministries on the links provided on the website. If you are just visiting or looking for a home church, please feel free to join us anytime.
I believe our Mission Statement can be summed up with the 10th Statement found in our 16 Tenants of Faith, where it states: “That our priority reason for being of the Assemblies of God as a part of the Church is: 1) To be an agency of God for evangelizing the world (Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15-16). 2) To be a corporate or unified body in which man may worship God (1 Corinthians 12:13) and 3) To be a channel of God’s purpose to build a body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son (Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Corinthians 12:28, 14:12).”
May the Lord lead and guide you into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, that when the trumpet sounds, or when death comes, you will be able to hear Him say; “Well done good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord.”
